Como artista audiovisual, realizo instalaciones, videos y fotografías. A veces, mis piezas se despliegan únicamente como videos; en otros casos, los videos conviven con instalaciones que integran pantallas LED, televisores y miniaturas dentro de dioramas y juegos. Estos escenarios suelen habitar esos espacios donde la cultura de masas se fabrica antes de parecer natural.

Soy parte de la industria del entretenimiento audiovisual desde hace 30 años. A través del arte, dialogo con ese mismo sistema que administro. Miro desde una complicidad que habito: soy parte de la maquinaria que reproduzco.

Elegí la escala reducida como recurso principal porque era el tamaño en que ese mundo me entraba en mis manos. Como una manera de exponer su artificio, descomprimir el tiempo y develar la fragilidad de estas grandes estructuras.

I am an audiovisual artist working across installation, video, and photography. Some pieces exist only as video; in others, the video lives alongside installations that incorporate LED screens, televisions, or miniatures set inside dioramas and games. These scenes tend to inhabit the places where mass culture is manufactured, before it learns to look natural.

I have worked in the audiovisual entertainment industry for thirty years. Through art, I speak with the same system I help administer. I look from inside a complicity I inhabit: I am part of the machinery I reproduce.

I chose reduced scale as my main device because it was the size at which that world fit in my hands. A way to expose its artifice, decompress time, and reveal the fragility of these vast structures.
